Who Can Join?
The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) welcomes members regardless age, race, color, national origin, creed, marital status, gender, education or economic status. Any full or part-time homemaker, male or female, rural or urban, teenager or senior citizen and in-between, may belong to KEHA.
The Nicholas County Homemakers will be hosting the Bluegass Area Annual Meeting this year. Join the Homemakers of Nicholas County and help us show off our beautiful community to the surrounding counties.
Are you ready to explore a new hobby that brings peace, joy, and creativity into your life? Join our Adult Mountain Dulcimer Class with instructor and discover the incredible benefits of learning to play an instrument.
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, this class can help you: reduce stress and boost your mood, enhance focus and cognitive abilities, build confidence through musical progress, find a creative outlet for emotional expression, and connect with a community of like-minded music lovers.
No previous musical experience is required—just bring your curiosity and willingness to learn!
Want to learn how to quilt?
This club is open to all levels. If you would like to bring in a completed quilt you would like to share with the group, please do! If you’ve never quilted but are interested in learning more, like me, bring those questions you have. We have members from beginners to experts who love to share their knowledge.

Nicholas County Homemakers attended the KEHA State Meeting at the Hyatt Regency
The Nicholas County Homemakers attended the 2025 KEHA State Meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington. Nicholas County Homemakers took home 3 State Awards for the following: 1st place- Largest 4-H Camp Scholarship 3rd place- 4-H Volunteer Hours 3rd place- Most Innovativr Partnership with Quilt to Support 4-H Camp Scholarships

What is Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS)?
FCS stands for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension. FCS programming focus on building assets of individuals and families to address problems faced across the lifespan. Family and Consumer Sciences Extension emphasizes well-being with a focus on human development, parenting, resource management, nutrition, health and leadership development.
At the community level, FCS Extension prepares individuals for community and economic development and activity. Professionals in Family and Consumer Sciences Extension provide the tools to help individuals and families to develop resources for strengthening families and building community for an ever changing society.
